Loarre Andreu Perez joins the SDSU School of Journalism and Media Studies
The SDSU School of Journalism and Media Studies is proud to welcome Loarre Andreu Perez as an assistant professor of Latinex EMedia in the School of Journalism and Media Studies.
Prior to her position, she worked as a researcher at the Center of Applied Social Research (CASR) at the University of Oklahoma, and the Research Center for Small Businesses Ecosystem at Inha University (South Korea). She completed her Ph.D. in mass communication at the University of Oklahoma.
Her main research interest is the study of fandoms from a public relations perspective. In her work about fandoms, she has researched the relationships between fans and celebrities, how to measure them, and the consequences of these relationships for entertainment and political organizations.
Dr. Andreu Perez is also interested in cultural public diplomacy and employee communication. Her work has been published in American Behavioral Scientist, Politics & Policy, Journal of Health Communication, among others.
