Bio
Sam Shpigelman, M.F.A., has nearly two decades of experience as professional CG artist, educator, and manager. He holds Master of Fine Arts degree in Computer Animation and Bachelor of Science degree in Game Art & Design.
Sam is an active CG artist with vast experience in various industries such as animation, game development, architectural and medical visualization, and product design & modeling. His passion lies in learning and applying the latest skills and knowledge to his professional work, exploring his artistic horizons, and sharing this passion with his students.
His latest professional works include the animation of SDSU Presidential Seal; Intro animation “From San Diego State to Space” for the 2019 SDSU Presidential series of lectures, Promo animation for the New Media Production Emphasis in the School of Theatre, Television, and Film; The development of a top down mobile survival/tower defense game “Angry Goats”; AR/VR applications for Scripps Institute of Oceanography; Visualizations of future crafts of warfare and defense for US NAVY/SPAWAR; VR prototype of a future museum building for Flying Leatherneck Museum MCAS Miramar; Interactive children’s book for HP to showcase their revolutionary computer system “Sprout”; A graphical user interface for Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Android marketplace; Automotive modeling, rigging, animation and high quality rendering/stereoscopic rendering for Lexus Automotive; Opening animated graphic “Filmmakers Showcase” for the San Diego State University Film Festival; and an architectural visualization of the “Crossings Project” for the City of Solana Beach, which consisted of 24 residential and commercial buildings next to the Solana Beach Train Station.
