Outstanding Student: Isabel Adamos, School of Theatre, Television, and Film
Go-getter and resilient Isabel Adamos transferred to SDSU and has made her passions and interests in producing and directing a reality.
Adamos' commitment to her goals while simultaneously devoting efforts toward her education, has allowed her to find excellence in both realms. “This journey has not only prepared me for a dynamic career in media production, but also instilled the importance of resilience, strategic planning, and effective balance of multiple priorities,” she explained.
Since 2019, Adamos has been committed to a journey in film production. By co-founding her own production company, and holding roles within Associated Students and KPBS, while also involving herself in six organizations and clubs, Adamos has opened her own door to the film world. “These experiences were instrumental in bridging my academic pursuits with practical industry experience, significantly enhancing my career development and readiness for the challenges of the media industry,” she said.
While also participating and creating opportunities to enhance her education and career in film, production, editing, and more, Adamos notes how her journey has reminded her to take care of her well-being and mental health. “This journey, though challenging, has been a period of significant personal growth, making me more resilient and empathetic,” she said. “It has subtly shifted my perspective on life and influenced my goals in filmmaking, motivating me to create stories that celebrate the mundanity of everyday life.”
Adamos intends to continue creating films that “offer insightful perspectives on human connection “ with her production company, Final 5ive, and also expand into a career as a video journalist. “My ultimate goal is to produce films that embody my commitment to storytelling and highlight underrepresented voices and narratives,” Adamos said.
