A Leader in Research, Scholarship, & Creative Activity

The College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts is committed to research, scholarly, creative collaboration and innovation in the social sciences, humanities, and arts. Its faculty and students engage in research and creative activities that contribute to the public good, address social issues and problems, explore the human condition, and provide a platform for self-expression and invention. Such work is presented locally, nationally, and internally in publication or through exhibitions.

Faculty in PSFA have secured funding for their cutting edge projects through grants and contracts at the state and federal level as well as from foundations. Funding agencies include the California Arts Council, California Department of Public Health, California Department of Conservation, National Endowment for the Arts, Department of Defense, and Walton Family Foundation.
