Eduardo González joins the School of Communication
The SDSU School of Communication is proud to welcome Eduardo González as an Assistant Professor of Border Studies and Communication.
González’s research focuses on smartphone use among transient refugee communities in Latin America and the Middle East, with an emphasis on Central American refugees in Mexico and Syrian refugees in Turkey. González’s research employs multilingual (English, Spanish, Turkish, and Arabic) and multimodal methods to understand how refugees in transit employ technology for socioeconomic mobility, cultural acclimation, and networks of care.
