Creative Mind Academy for High School Students Goes Virtual in Summer 2022 Premiere

High school students passionate about their creative pursuits can earn three transferable college units from SDSU’s four week virtual institute in Summer 2022. The Creative Mind Academy is open to U.S. and international high school juniors, seniors, and rising college freshmen.

“Students can look forward to engaging with and getting to know other students with similar passions and interests from all over the world,” says program director Heather Sweeney. “This is a unique opportunity for students to work with and build relationships with professors who are leaders in their field in a small, intimate classroom setting. The CMA is designed to foster communities of people who aspire to be innovators and creators in their fields.”

2022 applicants will choose their course from one of CMA’s four pillars.
“CMA is the perfect program for young creatives to get a headstart on their future and delve into their area of study, whether it be Film, Speech and Debate, Leadership, Comic Art, or Computer Coding,” said Sweeney.

The immersive, virtual program will take place from July 5 to August 2, 2022. Synchronous classes will take place Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Applications for the Creative Mind Academy are open until May 15, 2022.
