Assistant Professor Dr. Justina Jose joins The School of Public Affairs
Her research focuses on the tools that states use to oversee municipal spending in their local governments, and how it impacts local government’s fiscal outcomes. In addition to this major area of focus, Jose studies the financing of water, sewer, and climate resilient infrastructure.
Her studies have been featured in journals such as Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting and Financial Management and Environment and Urbanization Asia.
For her debut semester at SDSU, Jose is instructing Public Affairs 604, Methods of Analysis in Public and Urban Affairs
Prior to doing her PhD, Justina completed her M.Sc. in Economics from Symbiosis International University in Pune, India and her BA in Economics from Stella Maris College, Chennai, India.
