School of Public Affairs Welcomes New Faculty David Jancsics
David Jancsics is an associate professor in the School of Public Affairs, where he teaches courses on administrative theory, organizational development and research methods, among others.
He received his Ph.D. in Sociology from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York in 2013. Prior to joining the SDSU faculty, he taught at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Rutgers University in the School of Public Affairs and Administration.
His general fields of interest are public management, organizational theory, and economic sociology. The more specific areas of his research involve corruption, informal practices, and white-collar crime. His current research agenda focuses on corruption in border law enforcement agencies.
His work has been published in various academic outlets, such as Public Administration Review, International Public Management Journal, and Administration & Society and Sociology Compass. Professor Jancsics frequently consults with international organizations and NGOs such as the United Nations, European Commission, U4 Anti-Corruption Resource Centre, and Transparency International.
