Comprised of 10 core departments and schools, the University’s only International Studies Minor, and an interdisciplinary program, the College of Professional Studies & Fine Arts (PSFA) is recognized for bridging the college experience with the regional and global community by preparing its students for professional careers. Because of its dedication to and appreciation for traditional and non-traditional forms of scholarship and research, PSFA is uniquely positioned in the community to produce career-ready graduates. Interdisciplinary collaboration is the hallmark of the academic rigor of the College; undergraduate and graduate students are prepared to be creative, thoughtful and responsible leaders and citizens of our ever-changing society.

    Recognized as a top national program with bachelor's degrees in Communication and in Health Communication as well as a master's degree in Communication.
  • Hospitality and Tourism Management

    Boasting strong industry ties, the School has a nearly 100 percent placement rate for its graduates

  • Journalism and Media Studies

    Preparing students for the society we envision for tomorrow, while modeling today the values of community engagement, ethical professionalism, diversity in a global world, critical reflection, and technology in service of the public good.
  • Military Science

    In partnership with other universities and colleges in the San Diego region, prepares Cadets to serve as Officers and leaders in the Active Duty Army, Army National Guard, or Army Reserves, as well as in the professional business world.

    Embracing a full span of artistic evolution and innovation from chamber music to techno, jazz to Javanese gamelan, ballet to contemporary dance, the School educates 65% of San Diego’s music teachers.
