Bio
David Argüelles serves as the Internship and Student Experience Coordinator (ISEC) for the School of Public Affairs at San Diego State University (SDSU). He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice and a Master's Degree and is currently completing his Masters Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in City Planning, both from SDSU.
With an extensive background in serving the San Diego State University community, David has been assisting the SDSU community since 2017, notably with the Student Ability Success Center. He has also contributed to the safety of the SDSU campus and the University Police Department as a Community Service Officer.
In March 2023, David represented SDSU in the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration Wildfire Simulation competition at the University of San Francisco, earning 1st place in the regional round.
Most recently, David and his capstone team completed their graduate project, titled Parkway Plaza Redevelopment Study, which reimagined the Parkway Plaza Mall in El Cajon. He and his team were awarded the School of Public Affairs Most Outstanding Capstone Project for 2023.
