PSFA Faculty and Staff Communication Resources
Faculty & Staff Website Profiles
- To request the creation of a new faculty or staff profile on the website, please complete the PSFA Website Profile Request Form. If a headshot is included with the submission, it should be recent and of high quality. Information about scheduling a new headshot is provided below.
- For edits to an existing faculty or staff profile, the same PSFA Website Profile Request Form should be used.
Faculty & Staff Headshots
Headshot appointments will be available for PSFA faculty, staff, and student workers, the first few weeks of each semester. Sessions are typically offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Please arrive at office PSFA-215 at the scheduled time; the session will then proceed to the gardens behind Hepner Hall, adjacent to the Faculty and Staff Club.Website Updates
To submit a web update request through ServiceNow, faculty and staff should start by selecting Report a Problem under Quick Links. This will open the incident form, complete the required fields and clearly describe your request. When filling out the Describe your issue field, be sure to include a keyword such as website, web page, or web update so the request is routed to the correct team. You may also attach photos and/or graphics and share links to Google Docs for more extensive content updates. Adding relevant details, links, or attachments will help ensure your request is processed as quickly and accurately as possible.
PSFA Event Calendar
The College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts invites all schools and departments to share upcoming events and activities with the broader community. Submissions may include lectures, performances, exhibitions, workshops, or any other happenings that showcase the vibrant work taking place across the college.
To promote an event, please complete the PSFA Calendar Event Submission Form. Approved submissions will appear on both the PSFA calendar and the corresponding school or department calendar within 2-3 business days. This is an excellent opportunity to highlight the creativity, scholarship, and engagement that define PSFA.
All events will be featured on the official PSFA Calendar, available at psfa.sdsu.edu/calendar, in addition to the corresponding school/department calendar.
PSFA Stories
PSFA Stories is a roundup of curated links and original articles about the people and projects, and happenings in PSFA. The stories populate our social media pages, are often pitched and shared with other news outlets across campus. If you have an article with a link to share or a pitch for a new story, contact Lizbeth Persons, Director of Communications, at [email protected].
PSFA Email Message Request
Submit requests using the PSFA Email Message Request Form at least 5 business days in advance to allow for review and scheduling. While we aim to accommodate all timely requests, delays may occur due to technical or scheduling constraints.
Messages to campuswide audiences require additional coordination with the StratComm DigiTeam and are limited to reduce email fatigue.
Emails are sent during business hours only (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., weekdays) and not on weekends or holidays unless approved as an emergency.
ADA Requirements for Digital Content
As of April 24, 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice’s updated ADA Title II regulations require public universities to ensure that their web content and mobile applications meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards. This includes university websites, web pages, digital documents such as PDFs, Word files and PowerPoint presentations, videos, social media content, and other digital materials used to provide university programs, services and information.
All faculty and staff are responsible for ensuring that the digital content they create or share for university purposes provides equal access and effective communication for people with disabilities. For an overview of the requirements and guidance on preparing accessible content, please review ADA Requirements for Digital Content (DOJ Title II Rule Overview).
