Overview

ASIAN490 (3.0 units) is an SDSU course that includes a Summer Service-Learning Program (SSLP) component, which takes place in rural China. SDSU students will work side-by-side with Chinese college students from Tsinghua University, along with other international students who volunteer to travel to rural areas throughout China to provide language and technical training to students of all ages. Specifically, our students teach English for two weeks, to children in poverty areas in China. The program offers the Tseng Foundation Scholarship, which comes with acceptance (no need to apply separately).
