Criminal Justice in China

OverviewA two-week criminal law course comparing China's criminal justice system with that of the United States. The course will cover the Chinese Constitution, the criminal code, and the code of criminal procedure. Students are required to participate in daily one-on-one half-hour Chinese language training - no academic credit - to help them prepare for their daily experiences. The program ends in Xiamen and then the group proceeds to Shanghai for two nights and departs from there. The information session for this program is on Wednesday, February 7 from 3:00-3:45 PM in PSFA 160.
Host InformationXiamen University was founded in the 1920s and today has modern classrooms with the latest technology for teaching. It is a showplace for national and international visitors and welcomes many international students who come to learn Chinese. SDSU and Xiamen University are linked through the SDSU Confucius Institute.
