Each semester over 300 of our students participate in internships at government and social service agencies, and private companies while gaining academic credit at the same time. These internships give students the opportunity to sample future careers in news media, recreational settings, the visual and performing arts, with public and private agencies, and in major hotels and tourist sites.
"My Internship helped me make the contacts that allowed
me to interview with the Human Resources
Department at a top
television network, which is where I landed my dream job.
More importantly, the internship helped
me find my confidence in a new work environment that seemed
distant and difficult. In the end, I realized that my time
as an intern helped guide me to make my dreams come true
and that was worth more than any paycheck I get now!"
Adelle Gomelsky (Communication, 2003)
"Interns are a crucial factor and quite necessary in our business. We train them to solve filming problems, scout, break down scripts and research data so that they can enhance our efforts in attracting and facilitating filming. Basically, we are breeding our future customers...and we train them well, so that they are excellent customers!"
