PSFA CELEBRATES SDSU's 110th COMMENCEMENT
On Saturday, May 19th, the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts recognized 2,532 graduates for their significant achievements. The Class of 2007 received their degrees and joined the ranks of the thousands of proud PSFA alums in the U.S. and abroad.

STUDENT HIGHLIGHTS
Destin Cretton and Lowell Frank, grad students in Television and Film, produced a documentary in Professor Jack Ofield's class, "Drakmar: A Vassal's Journey" that will air on HBO on Sunday, June 17 at 8:45 p.m. and repeat June 22, 27, 30 and July 1 in different time slots. Currently showing on PBS The Short List, is their 9-minute experimental drama titled "Bartholomew's Song." Both films will be screened at this year's San Diego Comic-Con at the Convention Center.

Anderson, M.F.A. Art '06, collaborated with Chris Flores, B.A. Public Administration
'89 on a tree installation along Harbor Drive. The Urban Trees 4th
installation unveiled botanical sculptures that have come to characterize
San Diego's Embarcadero. Their tree, "Bloom", is a stylized
form of a tree, with a steel frame and a concrete skin the shadow of the
tree will cast a full bloom across the Embarcadero. For more information,

Dr. Eugenie Keefer Bell, B.A. Art '75, MA. Art '79, was awarded the national Distinguished Teaching Award at the Australian Council of University Art and Design Schools (ACUADS) Annual Conference in Melbourne in September 2006. Since 1981, Keefer Bell has made an outstanding contribution to tertiary art and design education in Australia. She is the recipient of several Australia Council grants and fellowships for her creative practice, and has published widely on crafts, design and architecture.
Jeff Leaf, B.A. Theatre '03, appears in the movie "Pirates of the
Caribbean: At Worlds End" working alongside one of his favorite actors
Johnny Depp. After Leaf graduated from SDSU he went to Oxford College
in England, where he studied Shakespeare. With over three years in
the film business, his credits include a part as a basketball player in "Fat
Albert," and has guest starred on "In Justice" and, more
recently, "Without a Trace." He has also appeared in various
staged theatrical works.
