"Blasts From the Past: San Diego Press Club Salutes Radio Legends"
Sunday, May 6 at 2pm

San Diego State University, in collaboration with San Diego Press Club and San Elijo Hills will hold the annual "Salutes" event on Sunday, May 6, from 2pm to 5:30pm.

Now in its fourth year, Press Club "Salutes" honors an individual (or individuals) whose careers have made a significant impact on San Diego journalism and media.  Golden Oldies, political asides, and one wacky story after another by the likes of rock jocks Harry "Happy Hare" Martin, Paul Menard & Jack Woods (of Charlie and Harrigan fame), Jerry G. Bishop, Joe Bauer (Hudson & Bauer), Bill Gordon, Ernie Myers, radio newsman Reid Carroll and more. You will dine on gourmet foods from twenty-two of San Diego's finest restaurants, sip award-winning wines from our region, have a chance to meet and mingle with radio legends. It's all happening in a beautiful setting at San Diego State University in the Hepner Hall quad area.
