PSFA OUTSTANDING ALUMNA 2003-2004

MaryLee Sachs, President and CEO of Hill and Knowlton USA, is PSFA’s Outstanding Alumna of the Year for 2003-04. Widely recognized as a leading professional in the field of public relations and marketing, Sachs spent 17 years overseas before returning to the US to become President and CEO of one of the largest public firms in the nation. During her extensive career, she has worked with many blue chip organizations such as Kellogg’s, Kodak, Proctor & Gamble, Anheuser-Busch, and Motorola.

MaryLee Sachs graduated from SDSU in 1981 with a degree in Journalism (public relations), and a minor in marketing. She remains connected to the university by regularly coming back to speak to students in public relations classes in the School of Communication. In recognition of her outstanding achievements she was named PSFA’s Alumna of Distinction for 2004 and received the SDSU Monty Award at the university’s annual gala in the spring.
